WEDDING FAQS
Booking & Payments
What is required to reserve my wedding date?
We require a signed contract along with a 40% deposit in order to reserve your wedding date. All weddings are booked on a first come, first served basis.
How can I check your availability for my wedding date?
Please fill out the contact form on our website and we’ll get back to you asap!
What forms of payment are accepted?
We accept payment via Zelle Pay, Venmo, cash and check payments. Please contact for details.
Can members of my bridal party pay you separately for their services?
In order to avoid stress and confusion the morning of the wedding, we do not accept payment from multiple parties. Regardless of the bride's internal arrangements for the payment of each individual's beauty services, Hannah Zahner Beauty requires all payments to be made by the bride.
Can I change the number of hair and/or makeup services after booking?
Upon paying a deposit to book, the bride commits to the amount of services that she has signed for. Add-ons are always welcome as long as the increase in number is communicated as soon as possible. Should a decrease in service numbers suddenly occur, the bride is still responsible for the remaining balance reflected in her client contract and invoice; all services initially booked must be paid for.
Bridal Trial Runs
Is booking a bridal trial run required?
Definitely not! However, we highly recommend them in order for the bride to "try on" her desired wedding day look and any adjustments be made pre wedding day. Should the bride prefer to not have a trial run, we do ask that photos of desired hair and makeup looks be sent.
What happens at the trial run?
Trials are a great way to get an idea of exactly what you want for wedding day. Sometimes, you aren’t sure of how something will look on you until you give it a try! Trials consist of a full consultation of hair and makeup. If you are getting both hair and makeup, please allow for 2 hours at your appointment. Most brides choose to do their trial run on the same day as engagement portraits, bridal portraits or on the day of their wedding shower or bachelorette party.
How do I prepare for my trial run?
Please arrive with clean, dry hair. Bring any hair accessories, if you have them.
Do you come to me?
Trials are done out of a studio space located in the Oak Hill area (southwest Austin). If you would like us to come to you for the trial run, we travel within the Austin area. Contact us for an estimate.
Wedding Morning Logistics
Where do you perform wedding day hair & makeup?
We are a traveling beauty team that performs all wedding day beauty services at the bride's requested location i.e. venue, hotel room, and private residences.
What time do we need to get started with hair & makeup on the morning of my wedding?
Wedding hair and makeup start time depends on the bridal party's "ready time" established by the wedding day photographer and/or coordinator. Once the wedding is booked and the photographer communicates their timing with the bride, we will specify all hair and makeup timelines.
How long does it take to do hair & makeup on the morning of my wedding?
The bride's hair and makeup will take around 1.5 hours. Bridesmaids and moms hair and makeup appointments are expected to take around 40 minutes. We usually like to add a bit of cushion time at the end for touchups as well. Once the "ready time" is established by the wedding day photographer and/or coordinator, we will construct a bridal beauty timeline specifying ALL appointment times and the order of services.
How do we prepare for wedding day?
We ask that everyone comes with CLEAN, DRY hair and a makeup-free, moisturized face. If someone shows up with wet or damp hair (that has not specifically booked a blowout) it can set us back on time. Please remind your bridal party and family to come with completely dry hair.
What do the stylists need on wedding day?
Plenty of table space, outlets, chairs, and natural light (if possible!). Other than that, we provide everything including extension cords and fully stocked kits.
What is my “must be ready” time?
That is the time that the stylists need to be completely finished with hair and makeup. Please take into consideration travel to the venue, getting into your dress, day-of rehearsal, photos (getting ready, robe photos, bridal party photos, first looks, etc), guests’ arrival, and buffer time before the ceremony.
Will you stay for touch ups?
Yes, additional time may be added to your invoice for a rate of $100 / hour.
